Mrs. Precious Fuller is a long-time proponent of children and understanding them in order to support their best development. As a mother and former teacher, her emphasis is on the whole development of the child. A favorite quote from Frederick Douglass is: It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” A favorite bible verse is Luke 2:52, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, in favor with God and man.” This is a favorite of Mrs. Fuller’s because the verse represents wholistic growth and development. This growth involves mental (wisdom), physical (stature), spiritual (in favor with God) and social-emotional (in favor of man). Her roles as teacher and consultant recognize the importance of each of these components. Holding a Master of Arts in Teaching, Early Childhood Education, Mrs. Fuller recognizes and implements love and limits, understanding and boundaries in her approach. She used this in the classrooms she taught in as well as in her early childhood consulting. Her goal is that the children grow to make choices that reflect their wholistic development and inspire others to do the same! |
